Man Crossing Street Is Hit by Car, Killed
WESTMINSTER — A 59-year-old man was killed Wednesday when he was hit by a car while crossing the street, police said.
Leonard Daniel Warner was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident occurred about 8:15 p.m. in the 7600 block of Westminster Avenue, Police Lt. Bob Burnett said. Warner, a 30-year resident of Westminster, apparently was not crossing at a crosswalk when he was struck by the vehicle.
The unidentified driver was not cited, Burnett said.
