Jerry Leggett, an All-Big West linebacker in 1988 at Cal State Fullerton, was chosen by the Montreal Machine in the fourth round of Wednesday’s World League of American Football draft of defensive linemen, the 35th selection overall.

Leggett, 25, transferred to Cal State Fullerton from Mississippi State and had a team-leading 109 tackles in his only season with the Titans.

The New Orleans Saints drafted Leggett in the ninth round of the 1989 draft, but released him before the start of the regular season.
