FREEWAY REPAIRS : Caltrans Issues Motorists’ Advisory

Caltrans advises motorists that it has scheduled the following freeway work in the Southeast and Long Beach area this week. Repair locations are spotted on the map by number and are identified in the list below by the nearest city or cities.

ARTESIA FREEWAY (91)

1. Long Beach: Westbound No. 5 lane from Downey Avenue to Cherry Avenue, plus the Downey Avenue on-ramp and the Paramount Boulevard on-ramp and off-ramp; 6:30 a.m. to noon today; patching.

HARBOR FREEWAY (110)

2. San Pedro: Northbound alternating lanes of the Gaffey Street on-ramp; 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. today; stenciling.

3. San Pedro: Southbound alternating lanes of the Gaffey Street off-ramp; 6:30 to 11 a.m. today; stenciling.

4. San Pedro: Southbound No. 2 lane from the Channel Street on-ramp to the eastbound Terminal Island separation; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday; landscaping.

5. San Pedro: Eastbound Ferry Street off-ramp of the Terminal Island separation; 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday; landscaping.

6. San Pedro: Westbound Harbor Boulevard on-ramp of the Terminal Island separation; 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday; landscaping.

7. San Pedro: Westbound No. 1 lane on the Vincent Thomas Bridge from Terminal Island; 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday; glare screen repair.

LONG BEACH FREEWAY (710)

8. Bell: Southbound off-ramp at Florence Avenue; 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday; stenciling.

9. Bell: Southbound on-ramp from eastbound Florence Avenue; 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday; stenciling.

10. Bell: Southbound on-ramp from westbound Florence Avenue; 12:30 to 2 p.m. Monday; stenciling.

11. East Los Angeles: Northbound No. 1 and 2 lanes from Atlantic Boulevard to Ramona Boulevard, plus the northbound Long Beach Freeway (710) connector to the northbound Santa Ana Freeway (5); 6 a.m. to noon today; sign and marker repair.

POMONA FREEWAY (60)

12. East Los Angeles: Eastbound alternating lanes at Downey Road; noon to 2 p.m. Friday; stenciling.

13. East Los Angeles: Westbound on-ramp at Downey Road; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday; guardrail repair.

14. East Los Angeles: Westbound alternating lanes of the Downey Road on-ramp; 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday; stenciling.

15. East Los Angeles: Westbound alternating lanes of the Downey Road off-ramp; 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday; stenciling.

16. Industry: Westbound off-ramp at Crossroads Parkway; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday; guardrail repair.

17. Industry: Westbound from Turnbull Canyon Road to 7th Avenue; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday; guardrail repair.

SAN GABRIEL RIVER FREEWAY (605)

18. Lakewood: Southbound No. 1 lane from Del Amo Boulevard to Carson Street; 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday and Tuesday; crack seal repair.

19. Long Beach: Southbound No. 1 lane from Carson Street to Spring Street; 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday; crack seal repair.

20. Pico Rivera: Northbound off-ramp at Beverly Boulevard; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday; guardrail repair.

SANTA ANA FREEWAY (5)

21. Commerce: Connector road from the northbound Santa Ana Freeway (5) to the northbound Long Beach Freeway (710); 6 a.m. to noon today; sign and marker repair.

22. East Los Angeles: Southbound No. 1 lane from Euclid Avenue to Esperanza Street; midnight to 10 a.m. today; center median guardrail repair.

23. Norwalk: Northbound on-ramp at Imperial Highway; 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday; landscaping.

TERMINAL ISLAND FREEWAY (103)

24. Long Beach: Northbound and southbound No. 1 lanes at the Commodore Schuyler F. Heim Drawbridge; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday; bridge repair.
