Tisch Family Trims Bank Holdings: CBS Chairman Laurence A. Tisch and his family disclosed that they cut their holdings in Shawmut National Corp., the third banking investment that they have reduced this month. The family had been accumulating stock in ailing banks since 1989 but signaled a change in February, when they cut their holdings in Bank of Boston Corp. and Continental Bank Corp. The family disclosed in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that they cut their stake in Shawmut to 4.4% from 5%.
