SEAL BEACH : Woman Molested, Robbed in Home
Police were searching Sunday night for a young man who broke into a seaside home just before noon and sexually molested a woman before fleeing with several small radios and some cash.
The assailant, spotted on the patio of a home on Galleon Way about 11:55 a.m., threatened the resident with a small knife to gain access to the home, police said. Once inside, he fondled the woman and fled after about five minutes, police said.
Police did not disclose the amount of cash taken.
Police dispatcher Paul Carvo said the crime does not appear to be related to any previous robberies reported in Seal Beach. The woman apparently was not harmed, Carvo said.
The assailant, last seen near 1st Street and Pacific Coast Highway, was described as white, 20 to 25 years old, with brown, shoulder-length hair and a shaggy mustache. He was wearing a blue bandanna.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Seal Beach Police Department at (213) 431-2541.
