Attennn-shun!: Lt. Gen. Thomas E. Kelly, who was seen daily conducting press briefings during the Persian Gulf War, has been enlisted by NBC News as an exclusive on-air and off-air consultant. The assignment is effective immediately for the general, who is retiring from military service. Kelly was interviewed this past Sunday by Garrick Utley on NBC News’ “Sunday Today.” He has been the director of operations for the Joint Chiefs of Staff for the last three years, and before that was the Commanding General, United States Army Security Affairs Command. He holds many awards and decorations.
