Dental Care for the Poor

I was most interested in your article. This truly is a monumental problem that appears to be getting worse. For more than 50 years, the Assistance League of San Pedro-Palos Verdes has operated a dental center for school-age children of low-income families. Over 2,000 appointments are provided each year at a minimal cost. There is a long waiting list of patients. One of our current goals is to find the funding to be able to add an additional chair and equipment which would allow more children to receive dental care.
