GRAND DETOUR: The musical “Grand Hotel,” directed and choreographed by tall, tall Tommy Tune (F3), is taking the long way round to get from Orange County to Los Angeles. The show opens tonight at the Performing Arts Center and plays the Pantages theater, 50 miles up the road, in June. But to get from here to there the cast must first perform in Denver; Houston; Chicago; Columbus, Ohio; New Haven, Conn.; Syracuse, N.Y., and Scranton, Pa. Why the multi-thousand-mile itinerary? Says a spokeswoman, “That’s show biz.”
