UCI’s Goodcase is Big West Player of the Week
Mike Goodcase, a senior outfielder from UC Irvine, was named the Big West Conference Player of the Week on Monday.
Goodcase went eight for 11 in the Anteaters’ three-game series against Cal State Fullerton last week, raising his average to a team-leading .347.
He had six runs batted in with a grand slam and a double Saturday in Irvine’s 22-12 loss to Fullerton.
Goodcase has a nine-game hitting streak entering today’s nonconference game at the University of San Diego.
