Long Beach Benefit to Feature Musafia
To benefit the Cal State Long Beach fund to replace the Steinway grand piano lost when the roof of the Gerald R. Daniel recital hall collapsed in July, faculty pianist Julien Musafia will appear in recital in the Cal State Long Beach University Theatre, Saturday at 8 p.m..
Musafia’s recital will be devoted to transcriptions by Carl Tausig and Franz Liszt of music from other mediums by Scarlatti, Beethoven, Schubert and Wagner.
