Spring Break in Palm Springs
I have just read with amusement and sadness Jones’ article.
Yes, Sonny Bono has been growing up and this is the reason for his change of mind. Let us give him some credit for his ability to take more responsibility as mayor.
As for the anti-morality law, I find it puzzling as to why the young ladies have such a need to “show all.” Why don’t they just join a nudist camp for the week? Sure, they should be able to have fun in Palm Springs but they should not disrupt downtown business. I travel to Palm Springs frequently during the week and find it filled with tourists who are also having a break and enjoying the area.
After the young people leave Palm Springs, it costs $500,000 to clean up the mess they made.
As for the kids spending money, is he kidding? If you call boozing it up and buying hamburgers spending money, then in my opinion that does not support the city.
