‘Ashamed’ of Lawndale for Yahweh Decision

My name is David Shepard. I saw the story about (the House of) Yahweh in the newspaper and was ashamed of the people of Lawndale not willing to help people like me. You see, I have epilepsy. It’s not my fault that a drunken driver ran me over when I was 4 years old. Now I get SSI and SSA, but I don’t get food stamps. If it wasn’t for Sister Michele, I wouldn’t have anything to eat. In matter of fact, I don’t have money to buy clothes either.

I would like to see one of the Lawndale City Council make it with what I get. I’ll bet if one of the council members was in my place, they would not vote against the House of Yahweh; they would vote for it.

Let me tell you--Sister Michele didn’t ask me to write this letter, but I would like to see one of the Lawndale City Council be a handicapped person and make it without help from Sister Michele. Or let’s see if one of the council from Lawndale wants to trade places with me for one month.

Just in case some of you readers might think the reason I don’t have money to make it is because I drink or am on drugs--well, I’m not. I do take Tegretol, a medication for my epilepsy.

Nobody wants to help me except the House of Yahweh now. After reading the paper and seeing Lawndale won’t help Sister Michele that’s another kick in the head to me.

Thank you, Lawndale, for help we can’t get.
