Suit Alleges Walters Hid $20 Million: A federal bankruptcy court trustee has alleged in an amended lawsuit that former Denver developer Bill Walters tried to hide $20 million of personal assets while pleading poverty to Congress and creditors. Bankruptcy Trustee R. Neil Rodgers had previously accused Walters, who defaulted on loans to Silverado Savings & Loan, of hiding $6 million in assets. The new complaint alleges that Walters failed to disclose an additional $14 million in assets, including $2 million in antiques and art work. The trustee said Walters has transferred those assets to his wife, Jacqueline, since 1986.
