Best Actor winner Jeremy Irons has made a point of not letting on whether he thought the character he played in “Reversal of Fortune,” Claus von Bulow, was guilty. But Von Bulow’s lawyer let the cat out of the bag on Oscar Night. “He thinks he’s not guilty,” says Dershowitz.
An inquiry to Irons yielded a somewhat cryptic response through spokeswoman Sally Fischer, who said the actor “had to make a personal decision as to whether Von Bulow is guilty or not and his performance on screen tells that story.”
