COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Saddleback Wins Tennis Consolation Final

Scott Hansen won his singles match and joined Esteban Saba to win in doubles as the Saddleback College men’s tennis team defeated New Mexico Military Institute, 6-3, Sunday in the consolation final of the ITCA Western Team Championships in Odessa, Tex.

Scott Hansen beat Yann Auzoux, 6-3, 7-5, and Hansen and Saba beat Auzoux and Ruben Romero, 6-3, 6-2.

In the San Diego Crew Classic:

OCC freshmen second--The Orange Coast freshman eight boat finished second to California on Mission Bay. Cal’s freshman eight finished the 2,000-meter course in 6 minutes 5 seconds, seven seconds ahead of OCC, which was one of three boats to make the final of the teams’ first event of the year.
