Raiders Deal With Buccaneers for Linebacker Winston Moss
The Raiders announced the acquisition of linebacker Winston Moss from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Friday in exchange for undisclosed draft choices.
Moss, 25, who split time at inside and outside positions in 1990, adds youth and durability to an aging Raider linebacking corps that includes Riki Ellison, 30, and Jerry Robinson, 34. Moss also helps fill the void left by linebacker Alex Gordon, who signed with the Cincinnati Bengals as a Plan B free agent.
A second-round draft choice out of the University of Miami in 1987, Moss started 15 games for Tampa Bay last season. With the Buccaneers, the 6-foot-3, 235-pound Moss did not miss a non-strike game in four seasons.
