DADDY AND DICE: Nearly nine months after it was originally scheduled to be released, Andrew Dice Clay’s controversial concert film, “Dice Rules,” will hit the theaters May 5, courtesy of Carolco Pictures. (Its original distributor, 20th Century Fox, refused to release it.) If you can’t wait to see it, don’t worry--Def-American Records is releasing the soundtrack this week. And speaking of delays, Def-American still hasn’t announced its long-rumored deal with Warner Bros. Records, meaning that the Dice concert album’s distribution will be handled by WEA Distribution, which handles Warners, Elektra and Atlantic’s records. . . . If you B-Girls have always wanted a close look at Big Daddy Kane, he delivers the goods in the June issue of Playgirl magazine, which offers a two-page photo spread of the rap sex symbol, posing in his robe, his shorts (and much, much less). . . . And how much of a fixture at Lakers games is Capitol Records chairman Joe Smith? So much so that when Smith arrived late at last Sunday’s Lakers-Suns game, even veteran referee Darell Garretson noticed. (How could you not--Smith’s seats are courtside, under the Lakers basket.) After the first break in the action, Garretson eyed Smith, slyly noting, “By the way, you missed the tip-off.”
