2 Held in Shattering of 40 Car Windows
Two Newhall men were arrested Saturday on suspicion of shattering about 40 car windows throughout the Santa Clarita Valley with shots fired from pellet guns, authorities said.
Dean Hekkers and Joshua Mosshart, both 19, will face felony vandalism charges for allegedly causing more than $5,000 damage to at least 40 cars early Saturday morning, said Sgt. Steve Jenkins of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The two were arrested after a resident saw two young men shooting pellet guns and wrote down the license number of their car, Jenkins said.
Hekkers and Mosshart were being held Saturday in lieu of $5,000 bail each, Jenkins said.
