Dominguez Hills’ Pitcher Has Perfect Game Against Chapman
Cal State Dominguez Hills’ Vincent Aguilar pitched a perfect game to beat Chapman College in the first game of a California Collegiate Athletic Assn. doubleheader Saturday at Dominguez Hills.
Aguilar (3-2) struck out four as Dominguez Hills won the first game, 9-0. Chapman won the second game, 4-1.
Darryl Conner had three hits, scored twice and had three runs batted in for Dominguez Hills (20-14, 11-7 in conference) in the first game.
Doug Yates hit a bases-empty home run in the first inning of the second game for Chapman (9-27, 5-13), which had only two hits but three unearned runs. Collin Klein (1-1) pitched a five-hitter, struck out two and walked two for Chapman in the second game.
