Forward-Center Davis to Attend SDSU
Chris Davis, a 6-foot-8, 245-pound forward-center from Mira Costa High in Los Angeles, has become the second player in the past week orally to commit to play basketball at San Diego State next fall.
Mira Costa Coach Glenn Marx said Davis will sign a national letter-of-intent this week.
Davis, who averaged 18 points, 13 rebounds and eight blocked shots per game last season, also visited Colorado and San Jose State and was recruited heavily by Oregon State and UC Santa Barbara. He was a first-team all-Southern Section pick.
“The thing that really is unusual about him is his passing ability,” Marx said. “He can do all the things other people do in the post, and he had five game-winning shots during his career here, but what makes him excel is his passing ability.”
