Fluor Daniel to Run $400-Million Project
Fluor Daniel Inc. will oversee a $400-million expansion of Philip Morris U.S.A.’s cigarette manufacturing plant in Cabarrus, N.C., company officials disclosed Tuesday.
The project, which will increase the plant’s capacity by almost 50% to 125 billion cigarettes a year, began in February and is scheduled to be completed in mid-1994.
Fluor Daniel, the Irvine-based engineering subsidiary of the Fluor Corp, declined to disclose the precise value of its contract to perform management services.
