TOP HONOR: Cynthia Garner of Irvine, above, founded the county chapter of American Mothers six years ago. Now the national group has named her this year’s Outstanding Mother in California. Garner, 41, was an “image consultant” for various companies before bowing out of the business world to be a stay-at-home mother of three. . . . Another chapter member notched the “outstanding young mother” award, and a third was runner-up for the “senior mother” title. The group wants to strengthen “the moral and spiritual foundation” in the home.
