3 Youths Rescue Man From Fire
ANAHEIM — Three youths helped rescue a 65-year-old man from his burning apartment, fire officials said Thursday.
Bob Seely was helped out of a bathroom window by the three unidentified youths, who apparently live in the same building at 724 W. Anna Drive, officials said.
Seely was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he was in critical condition Thursday night.
The fire, which occurred late Wednesday night, apparently started when a cigarette lighter fell into Seely’s recliner.
The blaze caused about $20,000 in damage, fire officials said.
