Altadena : An Old-Fashioned Day
Breakfast, bands and a barbershop quartet will be among the fun and festivities at the Silver Anniversary Old Fashioned Days Parade Saturday.
With Dallas Raines, a KABC-TV weatherman, as grand marshal, the parade will start at 11 a.m. outside the Altadena Library on Mariposa Street. From there, the parade will proceed east to Lake Avenue and then go south to Morada Place.
There will be an entertainment center at Lake Avenue and Calaveras Street, with fashion shows and a storyteller. Before the parade, from 7 to 11 a.m., the Kiwanis Club will offer a pancake breakfast, at 2333 N. Lake Ave. For more information, call (818) 568-3000 or (818) 449-4905.
