Baldwin Park Honors 8 Student Volunteers
Eight outstanding high school students were presented Baldwin Park’s Youth Service Awards during a City Council ceremony Wednesday.
The awards are part of the city’s participation in National Youth Service Day, which will be celebrated Friday.
Honorees are Larry Chen, Lorenzo Hargrove, Desiree Martinez and April McCall of Baldwin Park High School; Laura Garcia, Jennifer Hernandez and Rocio Perez of Sierra Vista High School and Rosario Sabillo of Bishop Amat High School.
The winners were nominated by their schools or by a Baldwin Park service club for involvement in volunteer community service.
