2 at Giano School Win Writing Awards
May Tse and Domino Torres, eighth-graders at Giano Intermediate School in La Puente, were the only Californians to receive 1991 Junior High National Writing Contest awards from the Quill and Scroll International Honorary Society for High School Journalists at the University of Iowa.
The organization granted 27 awards from among 125 entries from nine states.
