STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — UCLA junior Scott Keswick tied for first on the parallel bars and placed second overall Saturday night during the individual competition at NCAA gymnastics meet.

Keswick led Roethlisberger going into the pommel horse event but was outscored, 9.25 to 8.2. Mark Sohn of Penn State scored a 10 on the pommel horse to win his fourth consecutive title.
Roethlisberger, who came back from a broken left foot at the start of the season and was battling a cold Saturday, finished with 115.45 points to 114.675 for Keswick. Stanford’s Jair Lynch was third with 113.925 points.
UCLA sophomore Brad Hayashi won the floor exercise title, scoring a career-high 9.875 but failed to defend his vault title. Hayashi scored a 9.825 on his first vault but injured his right knee while landing on his second vault. The injury may require surgery.
Adam Carton of Penn State won the vault.
New Mexico’s Luis Lopez edged UCLA junior Chainey Umphrey for the horizontal bar title, 9.85 to 9.825.
Besides tying for first on the parallel bars, Keswick finished second in the vault, fifth on the high bar, and sixth on the floor exercise to become the fourth gymnast to win All-American honors in five events. Others who have done it are Peter Vidmar, Tim Daggett and Tony Pineda.
