Sammy’s Room: The Headliner Room at Harrah’s Reno, where Sammy Davis Jr. performed more than 400 times, has been renamed Sammy’s Showroom. Davis’ widow, Altovise, and several family members and friends attended the formal ribbon cutting and dedication over the weekend. Davis appeared at Harrah’s casino hotels in Atlantic City, Lake Tahoe and Reno more times than any other entertainer, a hotel spokesman said.
