A Bad Suit: Pop singer Michael Jackson is the target of a $10-million “fraud” and “breach of contract” lawsuit filed Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court by Holophonics Inc., a three-dimensional-sound enhancement company. The suit--which also targets producer Quincy Jones, CBS (now Sony) and Epic Records--alleges that test recordings treated with Holophonics’ sound effects were featured on the initial release of Jackson’s 1987 smash album “Bad” but, in violation of a “verbal agreement,” were later removed. The firm claims that while Jackson continues to credit Holophonics’ sound-effects system on the liner notes of “Bad,” the pop singer allegedly refused to pay the company a licensing fee. “We know nothing about it,” said Lee Solters, Jackson’s publicist, on Monday. “We have no comment.”
