Woman Dies in Crash Near Pyramid Lake
A Gorman woman was thrown from her car and killed when the vehicle ran off the road and flipped over several times near Pyramid Lake, the California Highway Patrol said Monday.
The accident occurred about 7 p.m. Sunday on Los Alamos Road, north of Pyramid Lake Road, but the wreckage and the driver’s body were not discovered until Monday afternoon, Officer Calvin Aubrey said.
The woman, whose name was not released because her relatives had not been notified, apparently had been driving at a high speed when she lost control, Aubrey said. The car ran off the road and flipped several times, throwing her about 100 feet, he said.
