Glendora : Glenn Is Elected Mayor

The City Council on Tuesday elected Larry Glenn mayor and Molly MacLeod mayor pro tem.

Glenn, formerly mayor pro tem, was the council’s unanimous choice. MacLeod was elected by a vote of 4 to 1.

Councilman David Bodley voted against MacLeod. After the meeting, he said his vote was a protest against a recent change in the rules of how the mayor and mayor pro tem are selected.

Formerly the posts were rotated on the basis of seniority; the council decided to change to an election system at its March 12 meeting.
