PREP ROUNDUP : University Wins in 12

Jenny Whitely’s alert baserunning and a Saddleback error were decisive as University defeated the Roadrunners, 1-0, in a 12-inning Sea View League softball game Wednesday at Saddleback High School.

Jill Sorenson tripled to lead off the 12th inning but was thrown out when Whitely tried to score her on a squeeze bunt.

However, Whitely tried for second base during the play at the plate and came around to score when the throw to second base went past the center fielder.
