Education Spending

Is Pete Wilson doing a good job at bettering California? I think not. I’m a 15-year-old high school student and well aware of the effects of the governor’s ignorance of the education system. He said he would better education. Then why is he cutting the already low spending on education?

I have already seen the effects. My school and and several neighboring schools are in deep financial trouble. As a result, for next year they are projecting major cuts in electives and foreign language departments. Pete Wilson needs to open his eyes. The best investment he and all of us can make is in our education. It may not pay off now, but in future years we’ll be seeing quite a change in the work force.
