Does Charm Count in the Standings?

I take issue with Allan Malamud’s column (April 18) in which he states “(Baltimore’s) Memorial Stadium has neither the charm nor history that old Comiskey Park had.”

Charm is subjective, since it is based on personal feelings. However, Malamud is correct about the history of Comiskey, a history of losing White Sox teams.

More league championship and World Series games have been played at Memorial Stadium in its short history than have been played at Comiskey Park in its long history.
