Lillian Sharon was recognized as Manhattan Beach volunteer of the year at the city’s eighth annual Volunteer Recognition Brunch. Mayor Steve Barnes congratulated Sharon for her more than 1,000 hours of volunteer service to the city. Among other volunteers recognized for their outstanding service during the past year were Frank Dickson, over 3,000 hours; Lorraine Berro, Pauli Grasso and Jean Nance, over 2,000 hours; Maggie Klauck, Skippy Mathes, Rose Paddock and Gayle Wilhite, over 500 hours; Ruth Kuhn and Jim Cimino, over 400 hours; Wilmer Drake and Sue Banks, over 300 hours.
