Fuhrman Sets National Record in Women’s Weightlifting Meet
Diana Fuhrman of Simi Valley set a national record Saturday en route to the overall title in the 135-pound division of the Women’s National Weightlifting Championships in Blaine, Minn.
Fuhrman, 28, a Van Nuys High graduate, placed first in the clean-and-jerk competition with a lift of 107.5 kilograms, or 236.5 pounds.
Fuhrman set a national mark in the snatch competition with a lift of 90 kilograms (198 pounds).
