FULLERTON : Dean Selected for Fulbright Program
Don A. Schweitzer, dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Cal State Fullerton, will travel to Japan and Korea this summer as one of six educators in the nation attending an international program funded by the Fulbright Foundation.
Schweitzer, the California educator selected, will attend meetings in Boston this spring to meet the other participants in the International Education Administrators’ program and then will spend five weeks this summer traveling and meeting with Japanese and Korean government and educational leaders.
Schweitzer, a Placentia resident, has been dean of the school since 1979 and has helped establish several programs to increase the exposure of students to international issues, including a Pacific Rim studies program.
