Inmate Is Set Ablaze by Fellow Prisoners

SOMERS, Conn. — An inmate at the Somers Correctional Institution was set afire Monday by other prisoners, suffering third-degree burns over 90% of his body, authorities said.
The critically injured 23-year-old inmate, who was serving a sentence for manslaughter, was flown to a hospital in Hartford, a prison spokesman said.
