Iraq’s Kurds and U.S. Homeless

The plight of the Kurds and the Bush Administration’s anemic response should come as no surprise. As the economy in Nicaragua crumbles and Panama once again becomes a safe haven for Colombian drug lords, it is clear that the foreign policy-makers are far less concerned with the well-being of the the world’s oppressed people than they are with the reelection of incumbent presidents.
