Patrick Valenzuela Relicensed by CHRB
The California Horse Racing Board announced Friday that it has relicensed Patrick Valenzuela, who is expected to resume his riding career on May 12 at Hollywood Park.
Dennis Hutcheson, Executive Secretary of the CHRB, said that Valenzuela has been participating in a very strict drug testing and rehabilitation program. It requires Valenzuela be tested every other day, participate in rehabilitation meetings five days a week and meet with his sponsor two days a week.
For appearances out of the state, Valenzuela must give the board five days notice and he must be tested every other day while away. Hutcheson said the program will be in effect until Dec. 31, 1992.
