In an age when there are so many wrongs to be righted, problems needing to be solved and serious attention required by responsible adults, personal injury attorney James Randall sets out to get the Boy Scouts of America.

It is, however, a democratic society in which we live (I am told), and each individual can believe in (or not) what they wish, even if they choose to believe in nothing.

As an ex-Boy Scout, I cannot look back and find anything their organization has done that I (or my offspring) have suffered for or been deprived of. On the contrary, my grandson will soon arrive at Cub Scout age, and he, too, will enjoy what thousands of other youngsters have for the past 81 years in the BSA organization.

There will come a time when all of us will need help crossing a street. I’d rather be led by a Scout walking tall and straight, than crawling across while dodging bullets sprayed by young gang members. God knows that’s the truth!
