Home Savings Completes Coast Takeover: Home Savings of America has completed the acquisition of Coast Federal Bank’s 19 San Diego branches. Los Angeles-based Home Savings, a subsidiary of H. F. Ahmanson & Co., is consolidating six of the 19 Coast branches into five Home branches. Converting the other 13 Coast branches into Home branches means that there will be 32 Home Savings branches in San Diego County.
