* Glen Poling; Human Relations Activist
Glen Poling, 44, human relations activist who was program director for the Southern California region of the National Conference of Christians and Jews. Ordained as a Salvation Army officer in 1970, Poling worked with inner-city youth in St. Louis and Chicago before moving to Los Angeles in 1975. He directed studies of foreign refugee problems as well as programs to curb racial, religious and sex discrimination in inner-city schools. Last January, his organization created the Glen Poling Prize recognizing leadership and innovation and made him the first recipient. On May 1 in Silver Lake of the complications of AIDS.
