Northwest Airlines Cuts Some Fares
EAGAN, Minn — Northwest Airlines is cutting air fares by 60% for children and 17% for adults for trips within the continental United States this summer.
The non-refundable fares apply to round-trip flights and must be purchased by May 31. Children traveling under the program must be accompanied by an adult.
The travel period under the promotion will extend through Sept. 8, and reservations must be made at least seven days before travel.
Adult peak period fares are slightly higher, and child peak fares are 40% off.
Of the nation’s four largest airlines, Northwest was the only carrier to announce summer fare reductions.
