Game Sites for CIF Quarterfinals

Six area teams have successfully made it to the quarterfinals of the CIF Southern Section baseball playoffs. The following is a list of the teams and their game sites. All games are Friday at 3:15 p.m.

5-A

All three Moore League entries are still alive. Second-seeded Lakewood, which defeated Thousand Oaks 5-4, will travel to Diamond Bar, a 5-4 winner over El Dorado. Millikan, a 3-2 victor over Simi Valley, will host Fountain Valley, which defeated Katella, 6-4. Two teams that advanced with extra-inning victories will square off when Jordan hosts Edison. Jordan advanced with a 3-2 win over Channel Islands in eight innings, and Edison moved on with a nine-inning 8-7 triumph over Burbank.

4-A

Paramount, which defeated Hueneme 4-2, will host second-seeded Sunny Hills, an 8-7 winner over Savanna.

3-A

Suburban League champion La Mirada will travel to Antelope Valley after a 2-1 upset over the third-seeded La Serna Lancers. Antelope Valley advanced by defeating La Quinta 7-6.

1-A

Valley Christian, the Olympic League champion, trounced wild-card entry Kern Valley 9-0, and will travel to Crossroads, which advanced with a 9-7 win in 11 innings over St. Bonaventure.
