Gang Member Killed in Drive-By Shooting
A gang member was killed in a drive-by shooting in a neighborhood plagued by drugs west of downtown Los Angeles, authorities said Thursday.
Ruben Urena, 27, of Cudahy, was standing with fellow gang members at 11th and Grandview streets when he and possibly one other man were hit by bullets fired from a moving car, Police Detective John Murphy said. The second possible victim left the scene, he said.
