The Cult of Frida Kahlo
Why should we “lose” Kahlo if films are made about her life, let alone if Madonna should play her?
Not every 13-year-old is as lucky as was Benson, being in Nickolas Muray’s apartment, viewing exquisite art and listening to “vivid anecdotes” about Kahlo’s style and intensity.
I eagerly look forward to a film about Kahlo, especially with Madonna in the lead, for she will draw thousands of kids to see something they otherwise would probably never have heard of.
