Thinking of ‘Oz’
Well, so much for John Godfrey, the knowledgeable play reviewer. If he’s so familiar with the movie “Wizard of Oz” as he claims “everybody” is, why does he think Ray Bolger ended up with the heart (“Quest for Oz Never Gets Out of Kansas,” Calendar, May 25)? Does the line from Bolger’s routine “If I only had a brain” sound remotely familiar to him?
No wonder we’ve disagreed with so many of his reviews.
In contrast, Sylvie Drake did a top job on her “The Snow Ball” review.
