SIMI VALLEY : Customer Held in Restaurant Stabbing
A 20-year-old employee of a pizza restaurant was stabbed when he confronted four men and a youth about graffiti on the restroom wall, police said Saturday.
Paz Robles of Simi Valley was stabbed in the shoulder, chin and finger at Chuck E Cheese’s pizza restaurant about 10:30 p.m. Friday, Simi Valley Police Sgt. Gordon Weeks said.
The knife had a four-inch blade, he said.
Robles was treated at Simi Valley Hospital and released.
Five people were arrested in connection with the stabbing but four were released. Antonio Gabriel, 19, of Simi Valley was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, Weeks said.
Based on a name written on the restroom wall, Robles suspected who had written it, Weeks said.
Robles confronted the five people while they were still in the restaurant.
After Robles was stabbed, the group left the restaurant at 71 W. Tierra Rejada Road in a small white car, witnesses said.
Police driving to the scene saw a car matching the description, stopped it and arrested the five people inside, Weeks said.
