OXNARD : 2 Are Shot During Party at Residence
Two Oxnard residents were shot early Sunday by people who may have been angry with them for not being admitted to a party, police said.
Jennifer Garcia, 20, and Alex Cortez, 24, were treated at St. John’s Regional Medical Center and released, Oxnard Police Sgt. Ken Nishihara said.
Garcia was shot in the back and Cortez was wounded in the left arm about 3:25 a.m. after they answered the front door at a residence in the 3200 block of Fournier Street, Nishihara said.
No arrests have been made in the case, police said Sunday night.
